Dachshund Belt by One Magnificent Beast
Sometimes you are just struck by an object's beauty and you can't shake it. Maybe it is a painting or a song or even a person (!) Well, that is how I felt when I came across the belts made by One Magnificent Beast.
Based just outside of Boston, One Magnificent Beast is the creative project of Charles Heightchew & Gunner Kleinschmidt, combining their love of architecture, design, and color.
Charles and Gunner started making belts for themselves when they simply couldn't find any styles they liked. They wanted something with more 'personality', so they took matters literally into their own hands. (All pieces are made by hand in their studio).
They fused their love of vintage textiles & color schemes with their technical training to create something unique & beautiful.
I could feel the soul behind the art they created. It was like Blade+Blue had a long lost brother out in Massachusetts.
I am honored to share their artistry with you.
DACHSHUND BELT: Handmade by One Magnificent Beast exclusively for Blade+Blue, this belt is made from Japanese herringbone twill & vintage French ribbon.
The belt is ingenuously constructed so that when it is looped through the cast brass rings, the striking black herringbone contrasts against the two-tone blue which forms the face. But really, you can play with it & style it any way you like.
The boys at One Magnificent Beast surprised me with this gift, knowing that I am a dachshund lover. I was so knocked out that we made a limited run for Blade+Blue.
What a perfect balance of cool, style & humor. I am sure you know someone who will love this!
Measures 1.25" tall.
Made in USA.
Sizing: S = 29"- 32" M = 32"-34" L = 34" - 36" XL 36" - 38"
Gave this to myself as a father's day gift this year and I'm happy I did. As a belt it does what it is supposed to do and I am very pleased with the dachshund design. Our little girl seems to know that I am proudly showing my love for her and the breed when I have it on.
this belt is the perfect width (not too narrow, not too wide), super well made, and my girl Rosie (yes, she’s a dachshund) sulks on days i’m not wearing it.
