No matter what they say, it's still the most beautiful city in the United States.
The artist captures a unique perspective of San Francisco's famous hillside views.
I have been trying to figure out exactly what area he was painting, but the SF skyline has dramatically changed since 1971 :)
Although the sticker on back of the canvas indicates oils, I am pretty sure acrylics were used for this painting (but I could be wrong).
This is a compact piece, measuring 9"x17"x2" and floating in a metal and wood frame.
There is some minor wear on the frame as pictured, but I happen to love imperfections. It means the item has led a great life.
In the bottom right corner, you will see a signature "E. Gross"
On the reverse side you will see a sticker noting its title, "San Francisco Street" and the year it was painted "1971"
